vi implemented for 32 bit Windows platforms (Windows 95/98/ME, Windows

of vi with the look and feel of a Windows application. Some of these capabilities
are listed here:
- Split screen mode. Up to four splits are allowed.
- Undo/redo, copy/paste, and access to menu maps and abbreviations.
- Support for the Windows clipboard
- Most recently used files accessed from File menu.
- Use of mouse clicks to move the cursor, follow tags and selecting
text.
- Dragging files onto the application.
- Use of Property Sheet to adjust Lemmy settings.
- A configurable tools menu.
- Status bar information.
- Configurable fonts and colour schemes. Lemmy also supports syntax
highlighting for several file types. Additionally, a user can develop
his own syntax highlighting.
- Extended printing capabilities including the ability to syntax highlight
printed output, print with line numbers, print with headers and footers
on the page, and to print in varying font types and sizes.
- Recovery of previous edit sessions after an unexpected interruption
controlled from a dialogue.
- Recall of previous "ex" commands through a dialogue.
- Search and Replace via a dialogue includes recall of past operations.

Current Version
Version 4.5.200, Built February 19, 2005.
New in Version 4.5.200
- After using the "Cut Buffers" menu item, any outstanding
selection is removed on closing the dialogue box.
- When performing the command :e or :e! to edit the current file, the
cursor is positioned on the current line, if possible, after reloading
the file.
- It is now possible to customise the colors that are available for
defining language elements on the "Fonts and Colors" property
page. This is done from the "Customise Colors" menu item on
the "View" menu.
- The date and time that appear in the footer on a printed document
now have the same values for the entire document. The values represent
the time of the print request.
- The commands :undo and :redo have been corrected to ensure that the
screen is redrawn to show the changes.
- A new menu option, "Save All", has been provided on the
right click menu of LemTray. This causes a save to be attempted
by all instances of Lemmy which are in a modified state and are in command
mode. The same facility is available by using the command line call
"LemTray /SaveAll".
- A new menu option, "Close All", has been provided on the
right click menu of LemTray. This causes a close to be attempted
by all instances of Lemmy which are in command mode. The same facility
is available by using the command line call "LemTray /CloseAll".
- A problem is corrected in the command ":read" where the
file being read contains long lines. It was previously possible for
Lemmy to enter an infinite loop.
- Corrects a problem with the "File Type" property page. Previously,
if a file type was updated it was possible that the identity of the
syntax highlighter could be lost.
- The "Generic #1" syntax highlighter is enhanced so that
it is optionally capable of treating custom keywords as case insensitive.
- Two new commands introduced :wnext and :wprevious to enable navigation
between Lemmy windows.
- Lemmy has been amended where the start position is supplied using
the command line options -X and -Y. The screen position is adjusted,
where necessary, to ensure the Lemmy window remains within the working
area of the monitor containing most of the window. This adjustment allows
for the presence of a secondary monitor.
- Corrects a problem where deletion of a recovery file from the recovery
dialog can cause Lemmy to crash.
- Corrects the time displayed against each recovery file in the recovery
dialog to show local time instead of gmt time.
- The left and right cursor movement commands are enhanced so that if
the number of characters of movement requested exceeds the number of
character positions available, the cursor is left at the beginning or
end of the line.
- Corrects Lemmy registration code where registered user names that
exceeded 32 characters in length failed to appear as registered.
- There is a new option that can be controlled from the "Lemmy
Settings" property page called "Double click selects".
When this option is selected, double-clicking the left mouse button
whilst the mouse pointer is over a word causes the word to become selected.
When this option is switched on, double-click no longer jumps to a tag.
- There is a new option that can be controlled from the "Lemmy
Settings" property page called "Search uses selection".
When the option is set, starting a search by typing "/" or
"?" causes any selected text to be displayed on the ex command
line. If enter is then pressed, the search is started using the selected
text as the search string. If any other character is keyed in, the displayed
text disappears.
- There is a new menu item View | Tile Vertically.. which enables one
or more other Lemmy windows to be tiled with the current one.
- There is a correction to the activation of a Lemmy window. Previously
an inactive Lemmy window could not be re-activated and dragged with
a single mouse click. Now it can.
- Corrects a problem with the "Fonts and Colors" property
page where pressing the Esc key can cause Lemmy to crash.
- Corrects a bug when setting string options where long strings can
cause the corruption of other options.
